Biography :
Michael “Shelley” Smith is honest, authentic and hardworking. He takes great pride in having a strong work ethic and being a good problem solver. Shelley has spent the majority of his life raising and showing cutting horses, his passion for farm and ranch properties is a driving force in his real estate profession.
Shelley graduated from Mississippi State University and received his BS in Agricultural Business and Economics. After college he worked in the family business of grain merchandising. He was responsible for buying and selling commodity crops like: rice, corn, soybean and wheat. This is where he honed his negotiation skills and business acumen. After the family sold the business, he relocated to Burleson, TX. Shelley is involved in the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) and enjoys attending local shows in Weatherford and Fort Worth.
